Start with the areas that matter
A useful camera plan begins with entrances, service counters, stockrooms and other agreed coverage areas. We consider light levels, mounting positions and image detail before selecting cameras. Existing IP or analog equipment is reviewed to determine whether it belongs in the new setup.
Make recordings usable
The system needs to answer practical questions: who can watch live video, how long recordings remain available and how an authorized manager finds a particular event. Your scope can include recorder configuration, remote access, date-and-time playback and export procedures. Storage capacity is planned around camera count, recording settings and retention requirements.
Review activity with context
Where compatible, transaction references can help managers find the video associated with a checkout event. This depends on the POS and recording platform, so we validate it rather than assume universal support. User access, network configuration and staff training are included in planning, with the installation scope agreed for each location.
A few practical questions.
Can the cameras connect to my POS?
Some combinations support transaction matching or overlays. We confirm compatibility and the exact functions during evaluation.
Can multiple stores be viewed remotely?
Multi-site access can be part of the design. Permissions, bandwidth and the chosen recording platform determine how it is configured.
